Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using EternalTrace. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description
EternalTrace is a blockchain memorial service that enables users to permanently inscribe a deceased person's photo, name, and life story onto the Bitcoin blockchain as an Ordinals inscription.
Services provided include:· Content upload and image optimization· Real-time Bitcoin miner fee quotes· Stripe secure payment processing· Inscription broadcasting and status tracking· Digital memorial certificate generation· Public memorial square display (with user authorization)
2. Eligibility and Accounts
To use the Platform, you must:
· Be at least 18 years of age, or use under parental/guardian supervision· Have full legal capacity· Provide accurate and truthful account information
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
3. Content Standards and Prohibited Conduct
Content you submit must be lawful and appropriate. The following is strictly prohibited:
· Private information of others (ID numbers, bank accounts, contact details) published without consent· Defamatory, harassing, or abusive content targeting individuals or groups· Obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit material· Content infringing on copyright or other intellectual property rights· False or misleading memorial information· Any content violating applicable local, national, or international laws
Violations may result in service termination. Please note: **on-chain content cannot be deleted**.
4. Permanence of Blockchain Data
This is the most critical term — please read carefully:
Once your inscription content is submitted to the Bitcoin network and confirmed by miners, the data will:
· Be permanently stored across all Bitcoin nodes worldwide· Be impossible for anyone to delete or modify — including the Platform, Bitcoin developers, or any government authority· Be publicly visible globally, queryable via Ordinals.com and other blockchain explorers
We cannot delete confirmed inscription content for any reason, including legal orders, user requests, or platform shutdown.
Before submitting, please ensure you:1. Have the legal right to all submitted content2. Have obtained consent from the relevant parties or their family3. Understand that the data will be permanently public and this is irreversible
5. Fees and Payments
Fee StructureFees consist of two components:· Bitcoin network miner fees (real-time, sourced from mempool.space)· Platform service fee (25% of miner fees)
Quote LockQuotes are locked for 5 minutes after generation. If the lock expires and fees have changed, a new quote must be generated.
Payment MethodsWe accept credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay via Stripe. All charges are denominated in US Dollars (USD).
Refund PolicyDue to the irreversible nature of blockchain inscriptions:· Once an inscription is broadcast to the Bitcoin network, **no refunds are available**· If inscription failure occurs due to our technical error, a full refund will be issued· If payment is complete but the inscription is still queued, a refund may be requested (subject to Stripe processing fees)

6. Intellectual Property
Your ContentYou retain intellectual property rights over submitted content. By submitting, you grant the Platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, and display the content (including public display in the Memorial Square if you select that option).
Platform ContentThe EternalTrace brand, design, code, and all non-user content are proprietary to the Platform. Reproduction or commercial use without permission is prohibited.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is." We are not liable for:
· Inscription delays due to Bitcoin network congestion· Cost variations due to significant miner fee fluctuations· Outages or failures of third-party services (Stripe, OrdinalsBot, etc.)· Loss of inscriptions due to incorrect Bitcoin addresses provided by users· Inability to delete content due to blockchain immutability
We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss.
8. Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:
· Violate these Terms of Service· Submit illegal or harmful content· Abuse the Platform's services
**Important**: Even if the Platform ceases operation, all previously inscribed content will remain permanently on the Bitcoin blockchain, unaffected by the Platform's status.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by applicable law. In the event of a dispute, the parties shall first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of an agreed arbitral body.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
